Rick R. Baier, M.D.

Dr. Baier joined YPMG in 1982. He obtained his medical degree at the University of California, Davis and did his internship in medicine at the Wadsworth VA Hospital in West Los Angeles. He did his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of California, Davis. He is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and has particular interest in fine needle aspiration cytology, dermatopathology and coagulation disorders.   

Avtarinder K. Nijjar, M.D.

Dr. Nijjar joined YPMG in 1982. She obtained her medical degree at the AFMC in Poona, India and completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, California. Dr. Nijjar is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Harvey C. Chang, M.D. 

Dr. Chang joined YPMG in 1997. He obtained his medical degree at the National Taiwan University College of Medicine in Taipei, Taiwan.   Dr. Chang completed his Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a fellowship in Research at Jefferson Cancer Institute in Philadelphia. He also completed a fellowship in Dermatopathology at the Institute for Dermatopathology, Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Chang is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Dermatopathology.

Marigold J. Ardron, M.D.

Dr. Ardron joined YPMG in 1997. She obtained her medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Riverside, California and completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Riverside, California. Dr. Ardron is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. 

Shijun (John) Cui, M.D.

Dr. Cui joined YPMG in 2003. He obtained his medical degree at Beijing Medical University, Beijing, China and completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Cui completed a Cytopathology fellowship at the Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York. He is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Cytopathology.

Anthony R. Victorio, M.D.

Dr. Victorio joined YPMG in 2007. He obtained his medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Loma Linda, California and completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Dr. Victorio completed a fellowship in Hematopathology at LAC-USC Medical Center, Los Angeles, California. Dr. Victorio is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Hematopathology.

Emad Kaabipour, M.D.

Dr. Kaabipour completed his combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency with Fellowship in Surgical Pathology at Pennsylvania Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Kaabipour grew up in the Bay Area of Northern California.  Following his tenure as Attending Staff Pathologist at Vanguard Hospital in Massachusetts, he decided to return to his family in California and joined YPMG in 2008.  He is the Medical Director of San Ramon Regional Medical Center and Precision Pathology.

Curtis R. Strong, M.D.

Dr. Strong joined YPMG in 2008. He obtained his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Strong completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the University of California, San Diego and a fellowship in Placental Pathology at the University of California, San Diego.   In addition, he completed a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Strong is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Sepideh Maftoun-Banankhah, M.D.

Dr. Banankhah joined YPMG in 2010. She obtained her medical degree at the Shiraz University of Medical Science in Iran . She completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Shiraz University of Medicine and at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. In addition, she completed a fellowship in Cytopathology at UT Southwestern Medical Center . Dr. Banankhah is Board certified in Anatomic, Clinical Pathology as well as Cytopathology.

Marnelli Bautista-Quach, M.D.

Dr. Bautista-Quach joined YPMG in 2013.  She obtained her medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine.  She completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Loma Linda University.  In addition, she completed a fellowship in Hemtopathology at city of Hope National Medical Center in 2013.  Dr. Bautista-Quach is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Hematopathology.

Shawn C. Emery, M.D.

Dr. Emery earned his medical degree at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine.
Dr. Emery is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and did fellowships in Surgical Pathology, Cytopathology, and fetal-maternal & placental pathology at UCSD.
He was Chief Resident of Pathology at UCSD Medical Center. Having worked for over a decade in laboratories with high volumes of endoscopic gastrointestinal biopsies, Dr. Emery's main area of interest and expertise is gastrointestinal pathology.   He joined Merced Pathology Medical Group in 2010.

Tony L. Yang, M.D.

Dr. Yang joined YPMG in April, 2015.  He obtained his medical degree and PhD at University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  He completed his Anatomic and Clinical pathology residency at UCSF.  In addition , he has completed fellowships in Hematopathology/Lab Medicine and Surgical Pathology, both at UCSF.  Dr. Yang is Board certified in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Hematopathology.

Jonathan Chow, M.D.

Dr. Chow joined YPMG in July, 2015.  He obtained his medical degree at State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine.  His Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency was completed at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.  Additionally, he completed a fellowship in Hematopathology at the Montefiore Medical Center – Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York.  Dr. Chow is board certified in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Hematopathology.

Martin Luu, M.D.

Dr. Luu joined YPMG in August, 2015.  His medical degree was obtained at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.  He completed his pathology residency at Rhode Island Hospital – The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.  Dr. Luu has completed fellowships in Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, as well as a Molecular Genetic Pathology fellowship at the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon.  Dr. Luu is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, Molecular Genetic Pathology and Cytopathology.

Randy Hausted, M.D.

 Dr. Hausted joined YPMG in November, 2015.  He earned his Medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, CA.  He completed a pathology residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C.  Dr. Hausted is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Brenda Ly, M.D.

Dr. Ly joined YPMG in March, 2016.  She obtained her medical degree at the University of Texas in Galveston, TX.  Dr. Ly completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH followed by a Fellowship in Hematopathology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX.  Dr. Ly holds board certifications in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Hematopathology.

Richard Danialan, D.O.

Dr. Danialan joined YPMG in March, 2016.  He received his D.O. from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, Biddeford, MA in 2010.  His pathology residency was completed at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, CT, followed by completing a Dermatopathology Fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX in June, 2015.  Dr. Danialan is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Dermatopathology.

Michael Orejudos, M.D.

Dr. Orejudos began his association with YPMG in September, 2015.  He received his medical degree from Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland.  He completed his transitional internship at Malcolm Grow Medical Center Transitional Internship National Capital Consortium at Andrews AFB, Maryland.  Dr. Orejudos completed his pathology residency and cytopathology fellowship at the San Antonio Uniformed Pathology Residency Services Health Education AP/CP Consortium in San Antonio, Texas.  He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology and holds subspecialty certification in Cytopathology. 

Ashley J. Tarasen, M.D.

Dr. Tarasen joined YPMG in July, 2016.  She earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine, St. George, Grenada and completed her Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency at Albany Medical College, Albany, NY. Dr. Tarasen completed a Dermatopathology Fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  She is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Dermatopathology.

Scott Silveira, M.D.

Dr. Silveira joined YPMG in 2016.  He obtained his medical degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.  Dr. Silveira completed his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology followed by a pathology fellowship at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI.  He is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Donovan Hare, M.D.

Dr. Hare joined YPMG in 2016.  He obtained his medical degree from Loma Linda University Medical School in Loma Linda, CA and completed his residency program at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Dr. Hare completed a fellowship in Cytopathology at USC County, Los Angeles, CA.  He is Board certified in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Cytopathology.

Diane Sanders, M.D.

Dr. Sanders joined YPMG in 2016.  She obtained her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed her residency program at U.C. Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA.  Dr. Sanders completed a fellowship in Hematopathology at U.C. Davis Medical Center.  She is Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and is Board Eligible in Hematopathology.

 Albert Siu, M.D.

Dr. Siu began his association with YPMG in September, 2016.  He obtained his medical degree from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and completed his pathology residency at U.C. Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA.  Dr. Siu is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
